Aria groaned, getting up at the smell of cat. Getting out from her tent she had packed along, she saw Anasta and another troll she knew, Nepeta, cooking breakfast. Unfortunately, Aria saw catnip on top. She sighed and came out with a smile anyway.
"Hey everyone..." Nepeta smiled and waved.
":33 < hey aria! anasta has told me a lot about you!" Aria smiled.
"I can guess. We've been friends for a while." Nepeta looked at her with beady-yet-adorable eyes.
":33 < anasta has told me you're an angel. is that true?" Aria nodded.
"Yep!" she spread her wings, Nepeta gasping.
":33 < whoa!" Aria chuckled.
"Im not a bird though, so don't eat me. I also have an extensive knowledge of you, this planet, and all your friends."
":33 < oh really? like what?" Aria chuckled.
"Like that your morail is Equius. And how your Lusus is named Pounce De Leon. And how you made a statue of yourself back at your cave cause you were bored." Aria stopped there, not to make Nepeta's eyes pop from her head.
":33 < i've nefur heard someone who could read minds or anything! you're awesome!" Aria chuckled.
"Thanks. No problem." she decided to keep the Mobian and Human comic Homestuck a secret, for it would sound odd if some person was documenting your life and pretty much everyone's death, wouldn't it? She saw Ultimate crawl out with Gamzee-style face paint, hardly able to contain her laughter.
"What?" Aria let it loose, the laughs echoing through the forest and bringing out a pocket mirror she brought along to look at her scar. See if it vanishes, she thought as she looked at herself before handing it over. Ultimate growled at the reflection.
"GAMZEE!" Gamzee came out, Sopor in hand, and chuckled.
"SoRrY, uLtImAtE. yOu wErE AsLeEp. It wAs pRiCeLeSs, ThE WaY YoUr fAcE TwItChEd wHeN I PaInTeD It. It wAs hYsTeRiCaL!" Ultimate groaned and felt Aria tap his shoulder.
"Calm down, Ulti. We can wash it off in the river." she took her husband and lead him off to the river. At that that moment, Vriska arose from her tent having the same face paint. How many people had he painted overnight? Aria shrugged it off and continued to lead Ultimate to the river, which was nearly a mile's walk away, the sounds of the team behind them fading. When they reached the rushing river, Aria gathered some water in her hands and washed his face, the white paint running off his face.
"Better, Ulti?" Ultimate nodded.
"Yeah....Thanks, Ari..." Aria smiled.
"No problem." Aria suddenly dunked his head into the river. Rising back up with a shining face of water, Aria laughed. Then, Ultimate shoved her into the water. Playing in the water for a bit, clouds rolled in overhead. Seeing them, Ultimate gulped.
"We should leave before it storms..." Aria nodded.
"Yeah. Let's go..." just before Ultimate could even get to shore, Aria tripped on a rock, and the rain began to pour. Just as it did, like the crack of a whip, the river suddenly sped up, pulling Aria away. Ultimate saw the sudden pull of events and gasped.
"Ari!" Aria was fighting to keep her head above the waves.
"GET HELP, ULTI! I CAN SWIM!" Ultimate nodded and quickly ran back to get help. Panting by the time he got back, he saw everyone eating. He panted.
"Guys....The rain....It sped up the river.....It pulled Aria away!" Vriska gasped.
"You have wings don't you?! Go fly and get her!"
"We can't fly in the rain! Just help her! Com'on!" everyone was soon dashing past forests and trails, spotting Aria nearly over the horizon of the river. Nepeta, being the cat-troll she was, quickly darted past branches and sped towards her. Vriska surprisingly helped, running in the mud to get her. Anastasia ran by her, the two exchanging a smile before Anasta whispered.
"Don't worry for me, okay? <3" Anasta looked to the water and leapt in. Vriska slowed to a stop.
"Anasta! Are you crazy!?" Anasta smiled.
"More than you know! <3" Anasta paddled as fast as she could towards her drowning friend. Just then, her head dove underwater. Gasping, she caught up to her. Diving underwater, she snatched her hedgehog friend up. She was obviously unconscious. Anasta saw everyone chasing after her with smiles, then stopping with frowns. She looked ahead and gasped at a waterfall. Desperate to keep her and Aria alive, she tried to backtrack, only to fail at the strength of the falling water. She saw out of the corner of her eye that Vriska was brave enough to follow. Finally falling over the waterfall, Vriska made a risky leap to catch them both. But, the water caught hold of Vriska, pulling the trio down the falls. Anasta felt pain all over her body, sobbing, and feeling soft dirt beneath her. She tried to open her eyes, seeing Aria laying in the grass. She tried to get up, but was in too much pain, and was in Vriska's arms, who was crying.
"V-Vriska....Are you......crying...? <3" Vriksa hissed and opened an eye.
"Only...in...pain..." she coughed up swallowed water. Anasta sat up and helped Vriska up.
"Why....did you jump...to save me...? <3" Vriska chuckled weakly.
"We just became friends.....You think I'd let you die on me...?" Vriska leaned in for a hug, but only fell into Anasta's lap, holding her side. Anasta gasped and moved her hand. Blood. Vriska was bleeding. She saw Karkat run in, just as she began to lose consciousness. She felt herself fall back into the dirt, seeing Karkat lean over her, saying muffled words. She turned and saw Ultimate weeping over Aria's bleeding body. Looking to her left, she was face to face with Vriska, who had already lost consciousness. Soon, she closed her eyes too, being rushed back to camp.

Aria awoke to throbbing in her head, groaning. She looked around and saw she was in a separate tent, squished in with Anasta and Vriska. Vriska had a bandage stained with cobalt colored blood. Anasta's blood, however, although leaking from the same place, was an high upper-class blue, like mutant color, but different in just the right shade to be an upper-class with Vriska. She stood up and hissed at an intense pain in her arm. She looked down and saw a bloody bandage. She groaned. None of them escaped unscathed. Anasta groaned beside her and sat up with her.
"Aria...?" Aria nodded, her head throbbing in pain even more.
"Yeah...?" Anasta gave her a gentle hug.
"Aria....I was so scared you died.... <3" Aria smiled.
"Me...? Angel of Light? Die? Nah..." Vriska groaned besides them as well.
"Wha...?" Anasta and Aria hugged Vriska.
"Thank you so much, Vriska...<3 " they said in almost perfect sync. Vrisk chuckled.
"It was nothing, you guys. I wasn't even trying my 8est." Anasta smiled and hugged tighter.
"Honestly, Vriska. I owe you my life...<3 " Anasta and Vriska smiled to each other, just as Polara came in,
"I see you all are awake..." Aria chuckled.
"Yep! <3" Anasta smiled as Polara unwrapped their bandages, dippin a brush into a glass jar.
"What's....that?" Aria asked.
"Peroxide. We don't know what kind of germs might have been in that water." Aria was brushed with the liquid, she hissing.
"It stings!"
"That means it was infected. You don't want an infection do you?"
"No..."
"Thought so. Alright, Ana, your turn." Anasta bravely exposed her side, Polara brushing it and Anasta hissing. Vriska gulped as Polara approached her with the brush.
"Just don't scream, Vriska." she brushed the chemical on her, Vriska almost on the verge of painful tears. Then, Polara wrapped their cleaned wounds in clean bandages.
"There. We can't move from here for a few days till you guys recover, K?" Vriska shrugged.
"I can deal with that." Polara nodded and left. At that moment, Ultimate rushed in and hugged Aria, it dissolving into a kiss, all to the humorous disgust of Anasta and Vriska, who were holding hands as closely bonded friends.
